1. Open a new file of about 500x500pixels. Go to File>New.
2. Create new layer and name it as "sticky note". Select the Rectangular tool and set the foreground to yellow like #fcf185 and drag in the workspace while holding the Shift key in your keyboard to constrain a proportion. Then press ALT+Backspace to fill it. Do not deselect yet.
3. Create again a new layer and name it as "paste". This will serve as the paste part of the sticky note. With the paste layer selected, drag a part on the selection to be subtracted. But make sure that you have clicked the Subtract from selection option.

4. The selection will now be looking like this. Click the foreground and change it to something a bit darker than the color of the stickynote like #ece179. Then choose the Gradient tool
and click the foreground to transparent from the gradient options. Drag the gradient from the top to bottom of the selection. Press CTRL+D to deselect it.

5. It will be looking like this in its opacity of about 80%. Of course it depends on you if you want to lower it.

6. Select the sticky note layer and press CTRL+J to duplicate it. This must be in the lower layer of the sticky note. Fill it with black and lower its opacity of about 40%. Just leave it there for a while.
NOTE: If you did not hide the sticky note layer definitely the black part or the shadow is not visible. In this tutorial i did not hide the sticky note paper.
Select now the sticky note copy layer then go to Edit>Transform>Warp. Click+hold the transforming points at the right bottom corner of the sticky note paper and pull upward to your desired warp of the corner. This time you will see now the shadow we made earlier. When you're done, press ENTER.

7. In this tutorial i forgot to rename the shadow layer. So please assume that the black in the layer palette is the shadow...sorry for this! Now we can manipulate this shadow. Select the shadow layer and go to Filter>Blur>Gaussian Blur and set the radius to about 10-20. Click OK. Use also the Edit>Transform>Warp to position the shadow.
By adding text, finally we've come into something like this:

If you want to have a another look of a sticky note, warp both corner end of the stick note paper like this one:

...make a different color of sticky note.
